Georgetown South Signal Bridges
Condor was a subcontractor to Dufferin Construction for the supply of wayside signals and the design, supply and installation of 27 overhead signal bridge structures C/W signals and foundations.
Condor’s responsibility included working with the bridge manufacturer to ensure compliance to Metrolinx standards, submitting all shop drawings for review, arranging for the transportation of the bridges to site, arranging for the erection of the bridges, wiring the signal heads from the signal junction boxes and testing the completed structures.
Much coordinate was required with the consultant, CN Rail, local utility companies, other contractors engaged in other contracts in the same area and with the existing signal maintenance contractor. Work had to be performed within the limited access time available on the Weston Subdivision and with TOP or Rule 42 protection in place.
